Gift Guide to December Birthdays, or a Merry Blue Christmas

Do you have a Sagittarius or a Capricorn on your gift list?  Someone with a December birthday?  Or somebody who just loves the thought of a blue Christmas?

Blue!  Even though sources differ on what the modern birthstone for December actually is, it’s definitely a shade of blue, from the vivid cobalt blues of lapis lazuli to the mermaid and peacock shades of teal and turquoise to the icy frost of blue topaz.

Whether you're looking for jewelry or something else, choose from the hues of the lovely blues and you really just can't, well, lose!

I browsed through some of my favorite etsy shops recently and found a treasure trove of blue - here's just a bit of what I found.

An amazing 1960s blue bumblebee pin you have to see to believe, courtesy of Space Modyssey ...

An absolutely adorable Swarovski crystal turtle pin, from Have Not Vintage ...

Breathtaking 1930s stoneware cake plate with handles - I do love vintage cake platters. I love cake, too - from BrocanteBedStuy ...

We have some beautiful blue items, too, so visit us on etsy at Gypsum Moon Vintage for vintage and antique items for your home, kitchen, office, and yard, at Gypsum Moon Rocks for rocks and crystals, sterling silver gemstone jewelry, lapidary, craft, and jewelry supplies, and at Gypsum Moon Style for vintage and upcycled clothing, jewelry. and accessories for women and men.

  5. All great finds, but I'm in love with the cake carrier!! I need to be surrounded by more cake eaters so I could at least use it to carry cake from one room to the other. A large group of nearby friends who invite me to dinner regularly would be good, too!
